This position interfaces directly with end users to provide support for company owned personal computer equipment in a timely and user-friendly manner.
MAJOR RESPONSIBLITIES AND AUTHORITY
Install end user facing devices and equipment.
Install, configure, and update software.
Ensure installations and configurations are working properly.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems with equipment and software.
Provide overview training to end users.
Complete all training and assignments in a timely and effective manner.
Apply departmental standards and procedures to all assignments.
Effectively communicate with appropriate personnel.
Report status on assigned projects.
Function effectively as a team member.
Provide after-hours problem resolution as required.
Communicate with vendors for problem resolution as needed.
Create and estimate project task lists.
Complete all other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICIATIONS
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good organizational skills.
Good problem-solving abilities.
Ability and willingness to learn and extend skills.
Microsoft and iOS software, Intel platform, basic networking, and security understanding.
At least one of the following:
Associate degree in a computer related field from an accredited school and experience in a computer related field.
Associate degree from an accredited school and experience in a computer related field.
Proficiency in above technical skills.
Must have and maintain “system expert status” of a least one critical application or obtain within one year of employment.
Valid Texas driver’s license and driving record at the time of hire which would not place the employee on probation, or disqualify the employee from Certified Fleet Operator Status, under the Company Driving and Safety Policy.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
Repeated use of PC, telephone, and office machines.
Extended periods of sitting and concentration.
Occasional bending, twisting, crouching, pulling, pushing, and reaching in an office environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Occasionally work long, irregular hours.
Provide after-hours problem resolution when required.
Travel as required.
Work to be conducted in office environment owned or leased by company.
