Senior Data Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

This position will provide support by utilizing fundamental knowledge and experience working with data to gather, evaluate and report on data to influence strategic decisions that will enable continued success in meeting the needs of members and enabling membership growth. 


Develop, maintain, and work with databases of relevant information for analysis and report development. 

Coordinate with cross-functional teams and contribute an understanding of data to enrich processes and support change based on analysis. 

Influence development projects to ensure data is captured in appropriate formats and at the correct time to support reporting needs.

Prove effectiveness of projects by analyzing data to calculate ROI. 

Demonstrate advanced query and/or advanced development methods to manipulate data for reporting. 

Partner with our Information Systems department to influence the design, development, maintenance, and implementation of a data warehouse. 

Access data sets from various sources, ensure their accuracy, and ingest for real-time reporting and insight provision. 

Support marketing plan effectiveness by influencing design, recommending sample size, and utilizing statistical significance calculations. 

Formulate actionable insights and recommendations to guide future strategic direction. 

Coach team members to encourage adoption of business intelligence reporting tools and techniques, offer training opportunities, and be an advocate for data through conversation. 

Develop and support visualizations and reports requested by business teams. 

Implement data governance best practices to support the long-term goals of the company’s use of data.

Job Qualifications:


At least one of the following: 

Bachelor’s or associate degree in any field from an accredited school with proven experience in a related position. 

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or related technical field from an accredited school with proven experience in related position.  

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software. 

Statistical and scientific analysis competency preferred. 

Knowledge of data modeling best practices and experience modeling data. 

Experience storytelling with data. 

Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI preferred). 

Experience with paginated reporting tools (SSRS preferred). 

Experience with SQL Server (Proficient in T-SQL or equivalent structured language preferred). 

Ability and willingness to learn and extend skills. 

Strong time management skills. 

Effective communication skills; both oral and written. 

Willing to travel as required. 

Valid Texas driver’s license and driving record at the time of hire which would not place the employee on probation, or disqualify the employee from Certified Fleet Operator Status, under the Company Driving and Safety Policy.
