This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical controls, wiring, and lighting systems. This position will also assist in maintaining our facilities, equipment, and grounds.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY
Perform general electrical maintenance.
Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
Circuit breaker and corrective maintenance.
Inspect, operate, maintain, and repair the following support systems:
Metasys, Siemens, & H.V.A.C. systems.
Water treatment, cooling towers, boilers and chillers.
Electrical, plumbing, sewage, water pumps, and sprinkler systems.
Complete general building repairs.
Assist with oversight of contractors and vendors.
Comply with the Certified Fleet Operation requirements of the Company Driving and Safety Policy.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
High School graduate or equivalent.
Electrical License required.
Experience working on simple and complex electrical systems.
Knowledge of H.V.A.C. systems, pneumatic controls, plumbing, welding, and general maintenance and building repairs a plus.
Willingness to gain or improve skills through training.
Valid Texas driver’s license and driving record at the time of hire which would not place the employee on probation, or disqualify the employee from Certified Fleet Operator Status, under the Company Driving and Safety Policy.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged standing. Daily bending, twisting, crouching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and moving items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to perform physical aspects of inspection, repair, and maintenance work, which could include climbing ladders and the ability to stand for long periods.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Travel may be required, sometimes on weekends.
Occasional long, irregular work hours.
Occasional time spent in hot, dusty and/or cold locations with operating machinery present.
