Job Responsibilities:

This position interfaces directly with end users to coordinate and provide support for company related network systems and personal computer software and hardware at primarily remote office locations.

 

Major Responsibilities and Authority:

Ensure installations and configurations are working properly.

 

Apply service patches to software.

 

Troubleshoot and resolve problems with equipment and software.

 

Provide overview training to end users.

 

Communicate with vendors for problem resolution as needed.

 

Prepare and deliver presentations as needed.

 

Provide recommendations for improvements to procedures.

 

Assist with multiple projects and requests simultaneously.

 

Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Associate Degree in a Technology-related field with networked computer experience.

 

Strong oral, written, and organizational skills.

 

Good problem solving abilities.

 

Ability and willingness to learn and extend skills.

 

Technical Skills:

             Microsoft software.

 

             Network Diagnostic Equipment and Software.

 

             Basic TCP/IP and Ethernet networking skills and knowledge.

 

             Ethernet cabling (CAT5, CAT6, etc.)

 

             Wireless networking

 

             Routers and associated configuration parameters.

            

             VPN and Load-balancing technologies

 

Willing to travel as required.

 

Valid Texas driver’s license and driving record at the time of hire which would not place the employee on probation, or disqualify the employee from Certified Fleet Operator Status, under the Company Driving and Safety Policy.

Other Job Information (if applicable):

Occasional long, irregular hours.

 

Use of PC, telephone, copy machine, fax, and other office equipment over six (6) hours per day.

 

Extended periods of sitting and concentration.

 

Occasional bending, twisting, crouching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and moving items weighing up to 30 lbs.

 

Extended travel by auto or other public transportation.
