Actuarial Analyst II

Job Responsibilities:

The Actuarial Analyst II is responsible for performing rate level indications, relativity analysis, reserve analysis and financial projections. 

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY

 

Develop rate level indications as required.

 

Perform relativity and reserve analyses as required.

 

Develop financial projections as required.

 

Provides competitive analysis.

 

Provides analysis of assigned projects.

 

Actively pursue passing of actuarial examinations, unless credentialed.

 

Provide after-hours support, if necessary.

 

Comply with the Certified Fleet Operation requirements of the Company Driving and Safety policy.

 

Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Economics, Finance or related field.

 

Ability to provide support to multiple projects while effectively leading his/her primary project.

 

Strong problem solving abilities.

 

Ability and willingness to learn and extend skills.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software required for this job.

 

Willing to travel as required.

Completion of at least two Actuarial exams.

Valid Texas driver’s license and driving record at the time of hire which would not place the employee on probation, or disqualify the employee from Certified Fleet Operator status under the Company Driving and Safety Policy.

Use of PC, telephone, copy machine, fax, and other office equipment over six (6) hours per day.

 

Extended periods of sitting and concentration.

 

Occasional bending, twisting, crouching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and moving items weighing up to 30 lbs.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

Occasional long, irregular hours.

 

Work to be conducted in office environment owned/leased by company.

 

Occasional travel by auto or other public transportation.
